Aidan Fox found his passion for motorsports during a Cub Scout trip to a local indoor karting facility. He got his Dad's attention when he jumped to the front of the pack his first time in his kart. After a few more trips indoor karting, and a summer karting camp, he was winning indoor karting leagues ahead of kids with years more experience. It was evident that in order to move forward in the sport, Aidan was going to have make the big leap to outdoor karts. Fortunately, one of the country's best outdoor facilities, Oakland Valley Race Park, was only an hour and a half away, in Cuddebackville, NY. Aidan took a lesson with owner and karting icon Tim Hannen and immediately took to the much faster, more powerful Rotax Micro Max kart. A month later and Aidan was racing against some of the country's top drivers in his very own Tony Kart. His first season in 2014 was a big success as he and his Dad were learning the ins-and-outs of driving and tuning a 2-stroke competition kart. He was a regular on the podium at OVRP's club races and even scored a 3rd place at a Rotax Regional event. 2015 proved to be Aidan's breakout year: he swept the Micro Max competition in the Northeast Region by winning the Rotax Max Northeast Challenge, the OVRP points series, and the Rotax Max New York State Championship. In the middle of all of that, Aidan scored a 9th place finish at the Rotax Grand Nationals racing against the best cadet drivers in the Country. And despite only racing half the schedule, Aidan finished third in the OVRP points in the bigger, more powerful Rotax Mini Max Class. In 2016, Aidan looks forward to moving up to the Mini Max class full time as well as contesting some select Mini Rok events as his schedule allows.
